House Price Index
A regional index helps show broad price movement over time. It is useful for context, but it is not the appraised value or expected resale price of a specific property.
Market Intelligence

How to Read the Numbers
The website deliberately separates regional trend data, local market snapshots and project-specific assumptions so one number is not asked to do the work of another.
A regional index helps show broad price movement over time. It is useful for context, but it is not the appraised value or expected resale price of a specific property.
A local median describes the midpoint of recent recorded sales in the selected market and period. Property mix can influence the number from one period to another.
This compares the current period with the same period one year earlier. It describes recent movement and should not be read as a forecast of the next year.
This compares recorded sale prices with the corresponding list prices. It can help frame buyer competition but does not determine the outcome of an individual listing.
Geographic Context
Alexti Global serves Birmingham and surrounding cities. Source labels such as “Birmingham-Hoover” or “Homewood” are preserved because they are the geographic definitions used by the underlying data provider.
The historical index describes a broader metropolitan market. It is intended to show direction and longer-term context.
The local snapshot is narrower and more current, but it still represents a collection of transactions rather than the subject property.
A project decision should ultimately be tested against the subject property's location, condition, scope, comparable sales, costs and exit assumptions.
Source & Review Register
Market values on this site are manually maintained. An administrator verifies the cited source and records a review date before the figures are published.
Decision Framework
Review broad regional direction and recent local activity.
Examine condition, location, planned scope and property-specific comparable sales.
Compare acquisition, improvement, time, transaction costs and exit assumptions.
Separate what is known today from estimates, future conditions and execution variables.
From Context to Opportunity
Market information is one input. Each opportunity should be evaluated on its own documents, numbers and risks.
